Who is Contract Investments?

Contract Investments Pty Ltd (CI) is a privately owned company founded by its proprietor, Chris Bishop , in 1999. Previously known as Cling Binding Supplies, the company was formed as a result of the acquisition of the wire division from Molins Australia (upon the closure of the Molins office in Victoria ) late in 1999. Molins Australia had been selling wire to the printing industry since 1940 as well as supplying spare parts for Molins processing equipment and Vickers stitching machines.

The range of wires supplied to the printing industry was previously procured from the B.H.P. plant in Geelong, Victoria. Unfortunately, B.H.P. discontinued making cold drawn wire in early 2000 and we now buy exclusively from a U.K. based company. Our stitching wire is produced in their U.K. plant and is considered to be of the best quality due to the unique plating techniques used during the manufacturing process.
