Q1. Tape tagging on exit end of carton.

Q2. Tape tagging on exit end of carton.

Q3. Tape does not cut properly.

Q4. Tape does not cut properly.

Q5. Tape recoiling inside taping head.

Answers

A1. Cause: Blade no longer sharp enough to cut tape.
Fix: Replace blade. Care must be taken as blade is extremely sharp.

A2. Cause: Blade not installed correctly.
Fix: Insert blade fully into the blade mount. Lift one side of the blade up slightly so that the blade is at a shallow angle before tightening the fixing screws. Care must be taken as blade is extremely sharp.

A3. Cause: Build up of tape on blade.
Fix: Clean blade and apply lubricant to blade pad. Care must be taken as blade is extremely sharp.

A4. Cause: Blade no longer sharp enough to cut tape.
Fix: Replace blade. Care must be taken as blade is extremely sharp.

A5. Cause: Rollers too tight or seized.
Fix: For one-way rollers and the tape drum - reduce the roller tension by turning the adjustment nut. For all other rollers - remove seized/tight roller from shaft, clean shaft and inside bore of roller, re-install roller and apply lubricating spray to shaft.
